Designer Tile Company began with a simple idea:
To use our experience, knowledge and passion for the tile industry to create something of our own.
Before starting Designer Tile Company, our family had already spent 10 years managing a tile store.
During those years, we gained invaluable experience—not only in tiles and products, but in understanding customers, builders, designers and what it truly takes to provide good service.
After a decade in the industry, we reached a point where we felt it was time to take everything we had learned and build our own business.
So, in 1987, we took that leap of faith and opened our first small showroom of approximately 150m².
It was modest, but it was ours.
From the very beginning, our philosophy was simple: look after our customers, provide quality products, offer honest advice and build relationships that last. We believed that if we treated people fairly and gave them the service we would expect ourselves, the business would grow.
And grow it did.
Over the following years, Designer Tile Company developed from a small showroom into a much larger operation. What started as a 150m² showroom eventually grew into a 600m² showroom, servicing both the building industry and the retail public. Our growth was never just about selling more tiles. It was about building trust. Builders came to rely on us for consistency, product knowledge and service. Retail customers trusted us to help them make the right choices for their homes. Over time, many of those customers became long-term clients, and in many cases, friends. Designer Tile Company is more than a business—it is a story of family, hard work, determination and generations of experience.
